FAQs

Q : Is ACES breed or ability specific?

A : No, our days are open to every breed of all abilities.

Q : Do I have to be an ACES member?

A : No, ACES runs more a pay as you go system, no traditional membership, no pre registering, contact one of the organisers for full details and address and just turn up.

↔

Q : How much are the ACES days?

A : At the moment the cost is £5, this includes all runs and activities that take place on the day.

↔

Q : Is there refreshments and food at the days?

A : Yes,we have Kims snack wagon that sells hot and cold food made fresh on the day, very good quality at very reasonable rates, Kims food is legendary!  We are however just as happy for people to bring and eat their own food.

Please keep in mind that all rubbish belongs in the bin.

Q : Where about are these days held?

A : We are based 20 mins drive south of the M25, Haywards Heath, we are however happy to travel with the lure if enough interest is there and a private, suitable piece of land can be supplied for us to run the lure on, we have run the lure and long jump at places like Paws in the Park, Essex Hunt Kennels and the Kent County show.

Q : My dog is dog aggressive can I still come and the dog take part in your events?

A : Of course you can, this isnt a problem as we have a secure holding area for all dogs that are not running the lure.

Q : My dog is person aggressive can I still come and the dog take part in your events?

A : Yes, we will still allow dogs to attend although if the owner feels appropriate the dog should be muzzled, this is a situation we havnt had to deal with often as many dogs relax around dog confident people.

Q : What time do I turn up and what time does it finish?

A: We try to start at 10:30 but as anybody who runs outdoor events knows things may not always go to plan, but we try our hardest to keep to this time, expect to be there all day.

Q : What do you do at the days exactly?

A: We do try and keep as much to what we have advertised as we can, although as everyone knows dealing with outdoor elements sometimes means things dont go to plan but ideally our days include.......
